Nestled on a forested plateau between Redmond and Issaquah, Sammamish is an extremely ethnically diverse city where residents gets a wealth of outdoor activities on their doorstep and top notch education. That being said, it is not uncommon for families to move to Sammamish to raise their kids as Sammamish’s median household income is also one of the highest in the U.S. It is no surprise that Sammamish has been named best place to live due to the education, safety, and outdoor activities such as spending time at the popular destination of Beaver Lake and Pine Lake. Sammamish is located northwest of Redmond, bordered to the South by Issaquah. The many residential suburban neighborhoods in Sammamish known as “The Plateau” consist of all kinds including upscale tree-lined streets and well-groomed neighborhoods, new construction, and the gated community of Sahalee. The south part of the Plateau is served by the Issaquah School District and the north side by the Lake Washington School District.
